PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide engineering support on mechanical equipment.
• Conceptualize mechanical design solutions.
• Perform and/or supervise creation of design layouts.
• Perform and/or supervise creation of detail drawings.
• Perform tolerance studies and check design documentation.
• Research and specify purchased component parts.
• Create component and system level test plans and test fixtures.
• Create engineering reports documenting design efforts and results.
• Work with operations to identify product improvements.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree on Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
• 5 years minimum experience.
• Minimum of 5 years design experience, preferably in O&G Industry.
• Minimum 5 years Creo (Pro-Engineer) experience.
• Experience with designing of pressure vessels is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) to detail
part drawings for manufacture.

Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections of upstream oil and gas sites to obtain SPCC, air, and due diligence information. Field inspections frequently require overnight travel and work in varying weather conditions.
- Collect soil and water samples following standard operating procedures and interpret analytical data to develop and implement remediation options.
- Provide spill response and remedial action oversight on projects of varying sizes.
- Assist client with agency negotiations by providing technical resources and supporting the client’s regulatory compliance efforts.
- Gather, compile, and present data, as a project team member or independently under supervision, for review by the Project Manager.
- Generates assigned portions of project reports or other deliverables, subject to review and approval by the Project Manager, for submittal to a client and/or regulatory agency. A project report interprets the applicability of complex environmental regulations to the project, and then tailors any proposed remedial measures necessary to promote regulatory compliance within the scope of the project and client constraints.
- Assists client with agency negotiations by providing technical resources, and supports client’s regulatory compliance efforts.
- Communicates effectively through written reports and oral discussion.
- Represent the company in a professional manner.
- Performs all work in adherence to health and safety policies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in field work and report generation for environmental assessments
