Executive Board
President - Abraham Madrigal
Abraham Madrigal Padilla is Security Manager for Teksys Inc., A small local and family-owned technology company, and for the past years has been integral in operation and growth of the business. Though the business is in the field of Technology and Security, Abraham holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from San Diego State University earned in 2008. Originally from Tijuana Mexico, Abraham has called Houston home since 2010 and has been part of the Houston SHPE Familia ever since.
Abraham has been part of the SHPE Familia since 2005 when he joined as a student member. Since joining SHPE Houston professional after graduation, Abraham has been part of the leadership team in many different roles. Currently he is in his second term as President.

Vice-President - Internal - Rosie Ortiz
Rosie Ortiz was born and raised in Houston, TX and is a first-generation graduate from the University of Houston. She graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s in
Industrial Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. Currently, she is a Logistics and Inventory Manager with SLB in the sector of Cameron Technology Valves and also Recruiting Campus Manager for UH.
One of her passions is to give back to her alma mater and offer advice to future engineers to achieve their goals. Being a proud SHPEtina, Rosie is still actively involved in the board, volunteering at professional development events, social gatherings, offering scholarship opportunities, and attending general meetings as a speaker. She formerly held the Special Projects position from 2020 - 2022, where she was awarded "Link Coordinator of 2022" at the Annual ScholarSHPE Gala 2023. In her spare time, she will be either in the sand playing volleyball, trying a new food restaurant, or at Disney Park (big Mickey Mouse fan!).

Vice-President - External - Joshua Zavala
Joshua is a native Houstonian and graduated from the University of Houston in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computers and Embedded Systems. Since a young age he enjoyed playing video games and grew fascinated with the idea of one day creating a game of his own. Taking a step to realize that idea, he took a game creation course in high school where he learned his first programming language, Java. This then led him to pursue an engineering degree where he could hone his programming skills and expand his horizons beyond just gaming. After graduating he began his career as an IT Consultant mainly focusing on web development.
Throughout his career, Joshua, had a newfound passion for helping those around him through his work,creating new solutions to help streamline others’ processes and make their lives easier. With this, Joshua has taken to helping outside of work and giving back to the community through SHPE. In his spare time, Joshua enjoys playing video games, watching anime, and exercising!

Treasurer - Tiffany Bauman
Tiffany currently works as a Strategy Advisor for ExxonMobil. She graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University in May 2020. At Rice, she served as Socials Chair, Treasurer, External Vice President, and President for SHPE Rice. She initially joined SHPE her freshman year to meet other Hispanic students at Rice. She was immediately inspired by SHPE’s mission to empower the Hispanic community in STEM and decided to become more involved. SHPE has given her opportunities she couldn’t have even dreamed of and most importantly, a supportive Familia, and she hopes to continue giving back to the community so she can help others have the same opportunities she had.

Secretary - Miguel Arias
Miguel Arias is a Flight Controller at NASA JSC through the company Barrios. He attended the University of Houston in which he acquired Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical and Civil Engineering. He first was invited by a friend to attend a SHPE UH general meeting in 2016. In that meeting, he was welcomed with open arms, not by members or friends, but a familia who was strong together. Being active that first
semester with SHPE, helped him learned what SHPE stood for and knew there had to be more that he could do to help. Being taught to live his dreams and take risks because life is happening now, he decided to place challenges in front of him for the chapter in order to help the members have a neverlasting impact within the SHPE familia.
Miguel’s journey has come a long way in SHPE UH from becoming the Athletic Chair, Unsung Hero Recipient, Social Chair, and formerly the Vice President Internal. Along with his executive board team, he
managed to inspire over 120 students to attend the 2019 SHPE National Convention compared to the previous year’s number of 89 attendees. He received the SHPE UH Executive Board Most Collaborative Award for managing to help others in need through his board team and as well to helping create collaborations with over 20 STEM related organizations. For the past two SHPE Houston terms from 2020 to 2022 he has been the Student Affairs Coordinator in which he managed to help create and execute the Southeast Bootcamp in 2020-21 and the Sub-Regional Retreat in 2021 for Region 5 in order to help over 200 students be prepared for the SHPE National Convention and RLDC. He is the current Secretary for SHPE Houston through the 2023 to 2024 term. SHPE has given him over 8 amazing years of professional, academic, and leadership growth. He plans to bring the same passion to the SHPE Houston Board and its members as the Secretary for a second term.

Stephanie Organista is a Houston native born to immigrant parents from Mexico. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Houston, this past May, becoming the first in her family to receive a bachelor’s degree. She currently works as a Software Consultant at Enertia Software, a small software company that produces software for upstream oil and gas companies.
She has been involved with SHPE for over 3 years. She held the SHPE Jr. position at the University of Houston for 2021-2022 and proudly won the Blue Heart Award. She also founded a local SHPE Jr. chapter at her graduating high school, where minorities encompass over 96.5% of enrollment and over 86% classify as economically disadvantaged. She was also a past SHPEtina and SHPE National scholarship recipient.

Director of Membership - Daysi Gomez
Daisy was born in Houston, Texas and raised in New Jersey. She graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in May 2017. She currently works as a designer for HRGreen-land development group.
She is also an active member of Engineers without Borders where she had the opportunity to volunteer for a few projects in Haiti and Peru. Things that she enjoys include traveling, trying new coffee shops and swimming. This is Daisy's message to the SHPE Familia "It’s been a privilege to be part of the SHPE familia since college, it has giving me opportunity to grow as a leader. Now as a professional I look forward to give back and make an impact in the Latino community."

Bryan works as a Sr. Security Program Manager. He held a previous SHPE position as the professional development committee coordinator. He has volunteered as a professional development coaching at universities and conferences, engineers in wheels teaching middle and high school students various STEM related projects.
Bryan has a AA in computer Science, BS in electrical engineering, MS cybersecurity, MBA in IT Management and over 30 certifications and 140 badges in computer science, cybersecurity, and professional development. He is also a certified professional resume writer, Interview Coach, career coach, digital career strategist, veteran career strategist, and empowerment and motivational professional.

Rafael Humberto Campos is an Information Technology Specialist working for Q&S Technology, a recently formed Managed Service Provider in Houston. For the last year, Rafael has been integral to the growth and operations of the company taking different roles such as: System Administrator, network Engineer and Project Manager.
Originally from El Salvador, Rafael has been living in Houston since 2003. His passion for developmental skills and technology put him in the way to earn a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science from the university of Houston. Rafael is very interested in finding ways to support STEM and business development programs in the Hispanic community. He applied to form part of the VPE chair committee board and would like to get more involved with other SHPE opportunities within the community.

Currently, Dave Lacroix is working as a Cyber Security Investigator at ExxonMobil in Houston, TX. Prior to moving to Houston, Dave has spent the last two years supporting ExxonMobil's upstream oil and gas business as an IT Analyst. He has also worked at Bank of America, PayPal, and Accenture. Dave originally hails from Long Island, New York. He attended Dartmouth College where he received a B.A. in Engineering Sciences, a B.E. in Computer Engineering, and a master's degree in engineering management with a focus on Operations & Analytics. At Dartmouth, Dave was the Vice-President of his school's local SHPE chapter. The SHPE organization has been instrumental to Dave's success both in school and in the professional setting. Outside of work, Dave is passionate about mentoring, creative writing, community service, and running.

Maria Di Bonaventura is a subsea engineer at bp where she has been working for 6 years. She has held multiple roles as a process engineer supporting offshore assets in Trinidad and Gulf of Mexico. She attended the University of Florida until 2013 where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering and in 2017, she earned her Master's of Science in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University. Before being involved in SHPE Houston Professional, she was the SHPE Regional Graduate Representative and National Graduate Representative earning her a seat the SHPE Board of Directors. During her spare time, Maria likes to travel, read, play tennis and try out new restaurants around Houston.

Oscar Sirias is a seventh-grade Spanish teacher at Baylor College of medicine Biotech Academy at Rusk. He has been teaching for 4 years now and in that time, he has had the pleasure of working with Jeremiah to help grow the robotics program and helped in other extracurricular activities and school events. He has a bachelor's degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He majored in French and minored in education.
