Renew Membership
Step 1 – Login to SHPE Connect
Log in to your SHPE Connect account.
Step 2 – Check Membership Expiration Date
Check the membership expiration date on your profile page. It is stated below the “My Profile” heading. If your membership hasn’t expired then your job is done. If your membership is expired please continue on to step 3

Important Notice for Recent Graduates: If your membership has not expired yet you may renew your membership after May 1 of the year your membership expires. If you renew before May 1, your new membership package will expire at the same time your current membership expires and will not last one year.
Step 3 – Pick a Membership Package
Go to the “Join/Renew Membership” page and select the Membership package you want. For an explanation of each package please see Membership Packages.
If you are a recent graduate, please follow Steps 3A – 3B. If you are not a recent graduate, skip Steps 3A-3B

- Step 3A - Select the Recent Graduate Membership package Make sure you select the “Recent Graduate” membership. To receive your free membership as a recent graduate, you must have graduated within the last 6 months.
- Step 3B – Upload your Transcript
Step 4 – Join SHPE Houston
Once you have selected a package, select “Region 5” and then select the “Houston Professional” chapter.
Step 5 - Pay Membership Fee
Have a credit/debit card ready to pay the membership fees corresponding to the package you chose. You will receive a confirmation page.
Transfer Membership to SHPE Houston
Step 1 - Check Membership Status
Log in to your SHPE Connect profile and make sure you are a current SHPE member. Your expiration date is shown on your profile page below the “My Profile” heading. If your membership has expired renew your membership by following the Renew Membership steps (above). If your membership is currently active go on to Step 2.

Step 2 - Email SHPE National
Once you have confirmed that your membership is active, email membership@shpe.org and request that they change you from your current chapter to the SHPE Houston Professional chapter.
